Patio Makeover
The Before...
It just never looks clean and all of the neighbors can see my patio... time to make a big change.
Power Wash
Oh so satisfying! I've never seen my patio this clean.
Privacy Vines
I had no clue how much I wanted blocked by wines, so I bought they expandable ones on Amazon. I stretched them out and tried a couple different sizes. I think this size fit best while still giving privacy.
Contemplating the Pattern
I found these patio tiles at Ikea. I measured my patio and calculated how many I needed (by using excel as grid paper, laying out the patio size and using one square for each tile).
Tiles
Decided to lay the tiles going across the length of the patio. I started against the outside railings and worked back towards the building. The last row had to be trimmed... I borrowed my neighbor's Dremel to shave them down.
Shade Sail
To catch all of the things dropping out of the trees... leaves, pine needles, and whatever the squirrel in the tree decides to drop today.
No Drilling
The HOA does not allow penetrating the exterior wood, so I used these hammock tree straps wrapped around the patio beams and carabiners to hang the shade sail.
Plants
Picked out two large black planters from Home Depot to replace the multiple smaller beige planters. Love the look of these large black planters and now Chloe can't snack on the plants.
Festival Lights
String lights definitely set the mood and make the patio enjoyable at night. I used a light bulb socket adapter to plug the string lights into the existing light fixture so they can be turned off and on by the existing light switches.
The After...
Decor:
The chairs and blue pouf are from Target
The rug and pillows are from Walmart
The tray is from Home Goods
Plants
Added a planter on the railing.
Ready for Girls Wine Night
Lots of pillows and blankets... and my favorite neck massager
